We offer College and Career Advising to students who are undecided or interested in pursuing new career goals.

How Does This Work?

Once you decide to work with us, we will custom tailor an Advising Plan for you.  We will send you a questionnaire prior to our first meeting, so that we can make the most of our time together.  If you already know what you want to study or where you want to study, we will use that information to build on during our first meeting.

During that meeting we will go over your long-term life style goals, the activities and academic areas you enjoy most, the careers you are interested in and/or the majors you are interested in pursing.  If you have target colleges/universities/academic programs identified, we will review them together.

If you have focused goals, you may only need one visit with us.  Typically you will meet with us the first time to explore interests and set goals.  We will send you home with “homework”.  Two or three weeks later we will meet to set up a plan for applying to the colleges/academic programs you are interested in attending.  We will review:  costs to attend for those programs, admission profiles, application deadlines, scholarships and plans to visit the targeted colleges.  At this time we will be looking at your transcripts (high school, college, etc), and test scores.  Our final meeting will be to finalize your application strategy.
